All over this Country!!!

This week was quite an adventure for me!!! It's been Travel, Travel, and MORE Travel...but so much fun!

Friday I headed to Denver, CO to visit my girl Kera who's been living there for almost a year. Erin and Melissa decided to fly in from DC and Phoenix to join in the festivities too!!!
Friday night we all went to Sushi Den for dinner! It was Such a cool restaurant and the food was AMAZING!!!
After our sushi fix, we headed to the Front Porch in Downtown Denver! We had such a fun night!!!
After lots of drinks, we decided to hold our own American Idol auditions, asking random people to showcase their talents.
What was our talent you ask? Singing Enrique Iglesias' "Now that your gone"over and over at the top of our lungs!!! We got some very random looks!! It was freaking hilarious!!! I love hanging with Kera, Melissa and Erin because we always have the craziest nights!!!
Saturday morning we bonded with breakfast and old college videos, then we ventured out to Boulder to do some shopping on Pearl St. We went to a bunch of different shops that were SO adorable (there was even one that Kera likes to call "Crate and Barrel on Crack" and it really was...)
We also stopped at a coffee shop and hung with the granola eaters and tree huggers for a bit!
Oh, and we couldn't call it a day without stopping to try on some MuMu's at a local art shop! (See pic above)
Saturday night we decided to stay in and order Chinese!! It was a cold rainy day and I guess we aren't spring chickens anymore. One night on the town will do us in!
Sunday, I was on a plane bright and early to head to Harrisburg, PA for work.
Monday night I hung out with my friend and coworker Sylvia and her hubby Brian who had just moved to H-burg! I got see their house, hang with their cutie dog Kramer, and then Sylvia and I went to dinner!
I was also scheduled to go to Minneapolis this week for work but that trip was sidetracked and I headed back to ATL a little earlier than expected.

It was a fun weekend/week, but I'm glad to be back home!

Happy bday Jay-Shmay, Mom, and Amanda!!!

Happy Birthday to my BFF Johanna! She turned 29 last Friday!
She's getting up there! One more year til the big 3-0!!!!
Love you Sugarlump!

And happy bday to my mom who turned ____ (I'm sure she wouldn't be happy if I gave out that info) on April 4th! Love you mom!!!

And I'm sorry I forgot one of my bff's in ATL....Amanda!!! She shares the same bday as my mom!!! Happy Bday Amanda...love you girl!

Sweetwater, El Taco, and Six Feet Under!

We went to Six Feet Under for the Oyster Roast on Sunday!
El Taco in the Highlands on Saturday night!

Hanging out at the Sweetwater 420 Fest with Yosh and Siliva!!
Another group pic!
Yosh and Sivlia...such a cute couple!

It was a definitely both a busy and relaxing weekend here in ATL for the Sullivans!
Friday night Ben and I spent a quiet evening cooking dinner in, snuggling on the couch and catching up on some DVR! I was exhausted from Jimmy Buffett the night before and wanted to spend some quality time with the hubby!!
Saturday morning we were up bright and early! We headed downtown to the Sweetwater 420 Fest where we met up with Yosh and Silvia for the 5k race.
After the race, We walked around the fest, ate lunch, drank beer, and hung out! We even played Trivia and Siliva won!!!
Ben and I got home just in time to shower and change and head back downtown to the Highlands! There we met up with Chris and Melissa and Steph and Pat for dinner at El Taco!
It was a lot of fun! Their chips, corn with lime mayo, and guacamole is to die for!!!
Ben and I split a Mexican pizza which was not good at all...next time we go back we'll def get the fajitas. They looked delicious!
After dinner we went to the movies to see "State of Play". It's the new movie with Russell Crowe, Ben Affleck (rar) and Rachel McAdams! It was an okay movie. Definitely not any oscar performances but still interesting concept!
Sunday after a quick trip to the gym, Ben and I headed downtown to Six Feet Under which is a really cool bar with an amazing upstairs deck. They were hosting an Oyster Fest that weekend and some of Ben's coworkers had invited us to come down for it!
It was a really fun time!!! I got to meet some of Ben's coworkers that I hadn't met yet & I ate enough seafood to last me a long while! (Well who are we kidding...I'm a seafood nut and will probably be indulging myself again by the end of the week!)
After the Oyster Fest we came home and crashed!!!
It was a perfect spring weekend!

Me and Melissa Tailgating (notice our matching earrings)

Way to volunteer Ben!!!

Last night a group of us went to the Jimmy Buffett concert at Lakewood Amphitheater in Atlanta! It was a BLAST!

The group that went included Me, Melissa, Chris, Aaron, Steph M and Steph S.
We tailgated for about 3 hours...watching all the crazy parrotheads, playing cornhole and having a great time just hanging out!!!
We headed into the concert right around showtime and sat on the lawn.
This was my second Jimmy concert and I can't wait to go again! It's always such an awesome show & he played all the greatest hits!!!

On a side note: Shout out to my Hubby!!!
Ben opted not to go to the concert. He decided to cash in his "Good Samaritan Points" by volunteering for the Annual VA Tech Alumni Blood Drive! The blood drive is in honor of the VA Tech shooting that happened on April 16, 2007 (two years ago yesterday).
It was definitely a sad day that will live in all the Hokie memories for a long time to come...
However, I am happy that at least something good could come out of such a tragedy.
The blood drive had a great turn out and will hopefully save lots of lives!!!

Happy Easter 2009 to everyone!!!
Other than a night of Pho with Steph and Pat to celebrate Ben's bday on Tuesday, the rest of the week was quite chill!
Ben and I spent a lot of time enjoying our newly painted deck, cooking in, & just spending some quality one on one time together!
Saturday, after a quick meeting with our landscaper in the morning, we headed up to Spartanburg to spend Easter with my parents!
Saturday night we grilled out Bratwurst and Chicken while catching up!
Sunday, Ben and I got up and went to church with my parents and then met my grandma (Momma Bobbie) for lunch at a Steakhouse near Downtown Spartanburg!

It was a fun weekend!

Me and the hubby at the NY NY Piano Bar!
Me and Melissa!!! So glad she came to Vegas!!!

Much of this week will be spent in "Recovery Mode" from our fabulous Vegas trip last weekend!
We decided to bid Ben's 20's Bon Voyage in a BIG Way!!!

The week leading up to the Vegas trip was very eventful! Tuesday night was my book club meeting which is always a lot of fun! We chatted about "Nineteen Minutes" by Jodi Picoult.
Wednesday I met Melissa and Jaclyn at the mall for a "Pre-Vegas" shopping trip! A girl needs to look good, you know?
Thursday night we had Pat and Steph over for burgers and wine! It was a really great time!

Friday morning I was up early running errands and packing like a wild woman. Then Amanda and her friend Katie (who was in from out of town to celebrate Amanda's bday) met Ben and I for brunch at J. Christopher's in Historic Roswell. I was glad I got to spend some time with Amanda before we left. We missed her Bday celebration on Saturday night but I was told it was a great time!!!

By Friday afternoon, we were on a jet plane headed to VEGAS!!!
A big group of us were in on the Vegas trip...here's the list of everyone that came
1. Ben (bday boy)
2. Kristen (bday boy wife)
3. Melissa Doyle (one of my BFF's from college who flew in from Phoenix)
4. Angie (Melissa's roommate)
5. Brady (Melissa and Angie's friend from Denver)
6. Chris (ATL friends)
7. Melissa Dunbar (ATL friends)
8. Aaron (ATL friends)
9. Jaclyn (ATL friends)
10. Drew (Jaclyn's boyfriend)
11. Ryan (Ben's BFF from College)

We arrived around 6pm in Vegas and headed straight for the Mirage. We checked in, got ready for a night on the town, and headed over to Gallagher's Steakhouse in the NY NY Casino where we were joined by Aaron for dinner and drinks.
After dinner, we met up with Melissa, Angie and Brady at the Piano bar for a bit.
As soon as Jaclyn and Drew got there we ventured over to Diablo's at the Monte Carlo for some dancing! It was a fun night!!!

Saturday, Ryan arrived bright and early and I bid farewell to the boys. They were very excited to try the Richard Petty Driving Experience at the Nascar speedway.
Ben said he had a great time!!!

I gambled for a bit downstairs and then met Chris, Melissa and Aaron. We went to the Bellagio for lunch on the patio at Olives. We had a blast just sitting on the patio, drinking martinis in the sun, and watching the fountain show!
After lunch, we went to Bally's to watch the Final Four games where we met back up with Ben and Ryan and Melissa, Brady, and Angie!
After the games, Ben, Ryan and I went back to the Mirage so that I could get ready for Cirque du Soleil's Love!
I met Aaron and Melissa in the lobby and we went to the show. (Side note: One of my bday gifts to Ben was NOT dragging him to the show with me...he was grateful he got to gamble instead of seeing Love).
Love was AMAZING!!!! I highly recommend it!!! However, if you are not a Beatles fan then don't bother. I was raised loving Beatles music so I thought it was the BEST show EVER!!! Melissa would agree too!!!
After Love, we met up with everyone at Caesar's to go to Pure! Big props to Melissa for getting us in!!!

Sunday, we met Melissa, Angie and Ryan for Brunch at the Paris...YUMMY!!! We said good-bye to Melissa and Angie and then went to the pool party Bare at the Mirage with the rest of the gang!
We had an awesome time at Bare. Ben and I had gone on our last trip to Vegas and knew it would be in the cards for us again! (no pun intended)
After Bare closed, we spent the rest of the night gambling!
Monday morning, Ben and I were up early and on a plane home.
We were exhausted...but managed to stay up to watch UNC bring home the NCAA Championship!
It was a very happy birthday indeed!!!
