Happy 5 Month Bday Tyler!

Hello everyone!
We've had some fun adventures over the past couple of weeks! Matt and Suzie arrived with their twin boys Carson and Henry the weekend of May 15th. We had a great time with them! The boys were walking and into everything. It got to the point where we took away every breakable item in the house and raised it out of "toddler range." It was so fun watching the boys play together! We went to the Children's museum on Saturday and grilled out and played Scene It after the boys all went to bed! Good times all around!!! A Big shout out to Matt and Suzie for making the trek to ATL! Can't wait to see you again soon!
Last week Tyler turned 5 months old while I had to go to a work retreat for three days. No worries though.... I was still able to take his picture before my flight on Tuesday night (see above). It was tough being away from my boys, but I had my dad come in to relieve Ben of Daddy Duty on Friday.
I had an absolute blast with my coworkers and can't wait for next year's retreat!!! So fun!!! Friday night I arrived home in time to feed Tyler and get him to bed. Saturday morning we were up bright and early to hit the road to Spartanburg. Ben got to have a Daddy Weekend while Tyler and I visited Nana, Papa, Great Grandma Bobbie, Aunt Kelly and Uncle Travis.
Tyler had a wonderful time and got spoiled rotten of course! Nana and Papa just bought a new crib and high chair, so it made traveling with Tman a lot easier on me! Saturday night we grilled out hamburgers, and Sunday we went to church.
While Tyler and I were in Spartanburg, Ben had the ultimate "man weekend."
On Saturday he went to the East Atlanta Beer Festival with Mike and then ended the night at a roller derby..yes you heard me...roller derby!
Sunday was spent on golf course with the boys. Ben played a good game for not having picked up a club in three years. He scored 108!
We both arrived home at the exact same time on Sunday night, and gobbled down some Chinese food while we fed Tyler. After we put him to bed we got in some good Mommy/Daddy time before we hit the hay!
It was an exhausting but fun filled weekend!
This week Ben and I have gotten in some good runs for our Peachtree Road Race Training and had Pho with Steph and Pat on Wednesday! Their little Dylan will be here in a just a few short weeks!
Happy Memorial Weekend everyone! Another update from the Sullivans will be coming soon as I head to DC for the weekend for Jill's Bachelorette Party! Fun times ahead!

Whales and Weddings!

Tyler eating Cereal and hanging with his nanny share girlfriend, Amelia!

Chris and Melissa's wedding!

Family trip to the aquarium!
So much has happened over the past couple of weeks.
The weekend of May 1st was a lot of fun! Saturday we went over to hang with Steph and Pat at our friend's Andrea and Adam's house. We had a great time and Adam made some DELICIOUS crab cakes! It was also fun for Tyler to hang out with their girls Caroline and Courtney!
Funny story of how I met Andrea. Steph has known Andrea for years, so we ended up planning her baby shower together. The day of the shower we were chatting and she mentioned that she went to Clemson...of course since I went to South Carolina I had to trash talk with her a little bit.
Then she proceeded to ask if I was from South Carolina..."why yes, I grew up in Spartanburg" was my response. She then told me that she spent two years in a small town named Bennettsville and asked if I had ever heard of it?
Long story short, she is friends with a lot of my friends from college (Aunt Leah from the previous post being one of them).
They all went to the same high school! What a small world after all!
When we became friends on Facebook we had about 6 friends in common!
So Saturday was a lot of fun with new friends! I can't wait to hang with Adam and Andrea again soon!
Sunday was a big day, as Ben was scheduled to swim with the Whale Sharks at the aquarium. This was a birthday present that I had arranged for him a long time ago.
He absolutely had a BLAST! And it was great for Tyler too! He loved looking at all the fish, and we even ended up getting a backstage tour of the aquarium and were able to see Ben swimming with the fish through the big glass tunnel! It was an exhausting day but tons of fun for our little family!
The next week was great when one of my BFF's from my DC Days, Caryn came to town from NYC for work! She got to get in a little Tyler time and it was so good to catch up! Caryn and her hubby are big world travelers and just got back from a trip to France and Spain...I was oozing with envy!
Friday night started Mother's day weekend and I got my gift from Ben. Beautiful Topaz Earrings to match my blue ring. Then Ben cooked steaks for dinner and we squeezed in a walk around the neighborhood! So nice!
Saturday we were able to get in a jog before Nana and Papa arrived to babysit for the night.
Once Tyler was safely napping in Papa's arms, Ben and I started our big "Night on the town!" It was the first time that both of us were away from Tyler for the night. Even though we missed him, we had a blast having some "mommy and daddy down time." We started by heading over to our next door neighbors for their annual crawfish boil, then we headed downtown to check into our hotel and get ready for Chris and Melissa's wedding. The ceremony was gorgeous and reception was a blast! We had such a great time and ended the night at Kyma, a swanky Greek restaurant downtown!
The next morning was a HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY as we headed home to Tyler. We had brunch with my parents at the Peachtree Diner and ended the day with a walk and some good Mommy/Tyler snuggle time! Nana and Papa even gave me a tshirt with Tyler on it that said "To the best mommy ever...Love, Tyler!" It was just too sweet! I had a great first mother's day complete with lots of cards from our friends and family! Thank you to everyone who thought of me!
This week I was "on the road again" as I traveled to Indianapolis for a short work trip!
Thursday we had our friends Roberta and Mike over for a fun dinner and tonight we welcome Matt, Suzie, Carson and Henry into town from Charlotte for some weekend fun!
Stay tuned.....
