Rusty's first Pho Experience, Birthdays and Babies R Us!!!

The girls at Midtown Bowling! Happy Bday Missy!

Rusty "pretending" that the Pho didn't sit well!

But in reality he LOVED it!

Mmmmmmmmm...PHO!

Rusty giving the menu the once over! So many Pho Choices!

Pho and Com...our favorite place!!! (Yes it's actually called Pho & Com)

Last Tuesday we got a visit from our great friend Rusty from Charlotte! Rusty and Ben went to Grad School together and I just adore Rusty to pieces! Rusty was in town for work so he joined Ben for dinner Tuesday night. I got home from my Minneapolis trip late Tuesday night and was greeted by Ben and Rusty! Ben didn't really know where to take Rusty for dinner or Tuesday night so I suggested that he treat him to his first Pho experience. I was just sad that I wasn't there to witness his face of awe when he tasted it's deliciousness. Ben and Rusty treated me to a picture slide show of their venture when I got home (see pics above)...and also proceeded to convince this poor naive pregnant girl that Rusty had gotten sick from too much Pho! (Again, the pic above is a fake...sorry if it's TMI for some people but I felt I had to post it so that Rusty and Ben could bask in their glory of pulling one over on me) Anyways, we hung out til about 11 when I was ready to pass out! Thanks Rusty for coming to pay us a visit! I can't wait to take you to Pho one day myself!

The past couple of weeks have been insane at work, as I've picked up an additional project of interviewing Pharm Sales reps in Downtown Atlanta! It's a three week long project and man will I be glad when it's over! I've learned a lot but it's definitely draining!
So Wednesday I was downtown all day but Thursday and Friday I played catch up from home for being out of the office all week!

Friday evening Ben and I went for a long walk in Roswell Park and then back to Pho (all that talk of Pho caused me to have a craving)! Then it was off to Babies R Us to register! What a daunting task that is! I can't begin to tell you how overwhelmed I was! I had no idea what some of the stuff was that I was supposed to be registering for! Luckily I had my Baby Bargain book in hand (thanks to my girl Jackie D) and could easily tell which product was safest for my $$!

Saturday Ben and I went on another walk on Riverside Trail! I had no idea that there was a Farmer's Market right on the trail and a water play area for little kids. It was so adorable! Ben and I stopped and grabbed a bunch of fresh veggies and spices. We can't wait to take Tyler back there to play in the fountains when he's old enough!

Saturday night was a fun night celebrating Melissa's Bday. Everyone met up at El Taco downtown for dinner (such a cute restaurant and so yum) and then went to bowl! That's right...I bowled for two weeks in a row. I seriously don't remember the last time I bowled two weekends in a row...maybe high school?....maybe never???
Anyways, we had a great time! I didn't beat my 137 from the previous week but I hit 120...again, not too shabby!

It was a great weekend! Ben & I rested Sunday. I had to gear up for another 3 days of interviews downtown and my trip to Arizona this week for work! Ben is also headed out of town next weekend to visit his Best Bud Ryan in Oklahoma. I'm looking forward to my work trip as well as I'll get to see one of my BFF's from College Melissa when I'm out there!!!
Have a great week everyone!

Babies, Bowling and Bunches of Fun!!!

What a crazy week we had!!! The biggest news was obviously finding out about Tyler!

Wednesday night we had a UNC Happy Hour that was a lot of fun! Unfortunately, I think the excitement of the week caught up to me by Thursday because I missed our monthly book club.
I'm hosting next month though and we'll be discussing American Wife...I'm excited!

Friday night Ben and I decided to have date night. I made stuffed peppers at home and then we went to see Harry Potter which was AWESOME!!!

Saturday morning I had breakfast with Steph M, Steph S, and Caroline. I met Steph M's mom since she was in town, and breakfast was a lot of fun.
Then I headed off to have pool time with Amanda. We lounged by the pool for awhile and then Ben and I met up with our friends Roberta and Mike for an amazing dinner at Sugo and a fun night of bowling!!!
I'm pretty sure I have a future professional bowler inside of me because I bowled a 137! I have never bowled that high in my life!
My score beat my husband's too!! (sorry, just had to point that out Benny)

Sunday, Ben and I began the registering process, I attended my second prenatal yoga class, and then caught a flight to MN for work.
I'll be heading home on Tuesday and gearing up for another exciting weekend!

Tyler Davis Sullivan!!!

No pictures please...notice he has his little hands covering his face!
3D pics!

A cute little foot!
The "money shot" that said there was a little boy in there!
Profile Pics!!!
Ben and I are so excited to introduce the world to Tyler Davis Sullivan!!!
We arrived at the Doctor's on Wednesday morning at 8am where they did my usual check up stuff! Then they called Ben back into the Ultrasound room while they took a million pictures of the baby! We told the Ultrasound Tech that we definitely wanted to know the sex of the baby if she could find out for us!
Well, I had been told by a number of people that I should drink a little bit of caffeine and eat something sweet before my ultrasound because the baby would be more active due to the sugar and caffeine rush. So on the way to the doctor's I scarfed down some Teddy Grahams and drank half of a Diet Dr. Pepper. That must have done the trick because the Ultrasound tech said that the baby was "all over the place" and it was hard to get a picture.
Naturally I was concerned but she said not to worry...I didn't do anything to harm the baby, but maybe I should stop listening to old wives' tales!
After taking a ton of pics of the head and heart, she made her way down to the thighbone...I knew the moment was coming so I grabbed Ben's hand.
Suddenly I heard the Tech say, "OH...well it's a boy"
Of course, Ben and I were in SHOCK because we both thought it was a girl for sure! (Mother's intuition be damned)
But we both have always wanted a boy so of course we were ecstatic!!!
We called both our parents first to share the news (I think my mom has already bought out the Boys clothes section at Target in just two days time), then I called a few friends, and then of course the coveted Facebook Announcement!
It was truly one of the most exciting moments of my life and I had a "perma-grin" all day!!!
We are thrilled to be having little Tyler and cannot WAIT to meet him in December!!!

Weekend with the BFF!

The Sullivans playing around!
Johanna seducing my husband...hahahaha

Me and Jay!
This week was a fun week spent in ATL! Best of all my BFF of 13+ years Johanna came to Atlanta to visit!!!
Tuesday night I met up with Steph S and Caroline at the Cheesecake Factory and Wednesday night Ben and I met Steph M and Pat at Red Salt for some YUMMY food! Thursday Ben and I completed one of our first ever home improvement tasks completely on our own. We installed a new garbage disposal! I was the assistant as Ben did all the work, but I was very proud as neither of us can even pretend to be Tim "the Tool Man" Taylor!
Friday morning Johanna arrived on the 6:30am flight and I picked her up from the airport. She napped while I worked and after work the three of us headed to Taverna Plaka for some Greek food! It was delicious! We tried to go to see Bruno that night but it was unfortunately sold out so we rented Taken instead.
Saturday morning was super busy! Johanna and I met up with Steph M and we went to the Farmer's Market in Alpharetta. We got a lot of fresh produce and spices! Then we headed down to historic Roswell for lunch and antique shopping! Afterwards, we dropped Steph off and headed to get Pedicures at my favorite nail salon! Once we had beautiful feet, Johanna and I hit up the Babies R Us to scout out cribs and rockers!
After a quick trip to the grocery store, Johanna and I came home and made a huge salad while Ben grilled chicken and corn on the cob!
After dinner we headed to the our local theater where we were finally able to catch Bruno! I thought it was quite hilarious but Ben watched half the movie with his hands over his face! I have to admit, the amount of male genitalia in that movie left very little to the imagination.
Ben really did not like the movie, but I thought it was hilarious! Maybe I have a dirty mind...so sue me!
Sunday I attended my first Prenatal Yoga class, and Johanna treated us to dinner at PF Changs.
I'm sad to have to take her to the airport today but I know I will see her soon!
A huge thanks to my BFF Jay-shmay for making the trip down! Love you lots!!!!!!!!

Happy Independence Day!!!

Chesare and Bobby on the boat
The Sullivans!
Me and Grace!
Chesare, Me, and Steph

Ben finishing the Peachtree Road Race and getting his shirt!

This week was fun filled and busy for the Sullivans!!!

After Ben got home from Vegas and I got back from the wedding in Gatlinburg we decided to have a date night on Monday.
We went to our fave Indian place and then to see the movie "The Hangover" which was HILARIOUS!!! Ben was literally in tears during the taser gun scene!
Wednesday I left bright and early for St. Paul, MN. I had to be there for work for a couple of days but was able to enjoy the much cooler weather and even went to dinner with Ben's cousins Mindi and Peter and Mindi's adorable daughters Ella and Olivia who I met at the Sullivan family reunion in January.
We had a great time catching up!!

While I was gone to Minneapolis, Ben spent his time finishing up his training for the Peachtree Road Race that was coming up on July 4th!
Friday I was off from work and spent the morning running errands.
Around 1:30pm Chesare and Bobby arrived and we were ready to start the weekend!
Friday night we had a BBQ at the house. About 10 of our friends came out and we had a great time eating, hanging on the deck, and lighting fireworks! Besides almost blowing up our neighbor's house...everyone walked away from the fireworks show unscathed.
Saturday morning Ben and I got up early and left Chesare and Bobby to sleep in for the morning as we headed downtown for the 40th annual Peachtree Road Race. The PTRR is the biggest 10K in the US with over 90,000 runners. I dropped Ben off at the starting line and then went to get a good spot at the finish.
Baby Boo and I cheered Ben on as he crossed the finish line in just over an hour.
I was so proud of him and he made great time!
After the race, we came back to Roswell to pick up Chesare, Bobby and Grace and we headed out to Lake Lanier for a day of boating and fun!
We had a great time on the boat! Ben and Bobby got to wake board and tube!
After a fun day on the Lake, we headed to Buffalo Wild Wings for some grub and then headed home for the night!
Sunday was a vegetable day for Ben and I. After we said goodbye to Chesare and Bobby, we watched a couple of movies and cleaned up the house...but that was the extent of our motivation!
It was a really fun Independence weekend and I was so excited to have Chesare and Bobby with us to celebrate! Thanks for making the trip down guys!!!
Happy 4th to everyone!!!
