My Obsessions

1. Pop Culture and anything related to it!
Yes, I was one of the fools who got up at 4am to watch Wills and Kate tie the Knot.
Yes, the only reason I have a Twitter Account is so that I can stalk follow celebrities.
Yes, I played "All at Once" on repeat via Spotify when I heard of Whitney Houston's passing.

2. Cleanliness
I'm not sure where this came from and it certainly happened later in life. As my Best Friend Johanna will tell you (and she did in her Maid of Honor Speech at my wedding), I used to have a filthy filthy room. One where rotting fresh water shark corpses could fester for weeks (true story, he committed suicide and jumped out of the tank. I didn't notice for about a month). My dorm room in college was one that people tended to stay away from (I only take half the blame for that though, my roomie Erin gets the rest). And when I lived in DC, it was a rare day when my bed was ever made.
Now that I'm a wife and mother, some weird primal instinct has taken over my body and I'm obsessed with a clean house...and a made bed!

3. The Goonies
It's my favorite movie on earth...and I can do one hell of a Chunk impression (if I do say so myself). Don't believe me? See for yourself right Here!!!
Anyone out there want to help me get more views on YouTube, or alert the folks at Saturday Night Live that suburban middle aged wives and mothers can be funny as hell too????

4. Crock Pot/New Recipes/Pinterest
I love love love to cook! This is talent that's only recently developed over the past few years. But now, I scour the depths of pinterest looking for amazing recipes (not to mention holiday, style and home ideas) that my husband will love!
My favorite dishes to serve are: (I will work on getting links to these)
Momma's Turkey Dressing
Broccoli and Cheese Casserole
Chicken Enchilada Pasta
Beer Can Chicken in the Oven
Sausages with Thyme in the Slow Cooker
Stuffed Peppers

5. Ann Taylor Loft
Seriously it is my FAVORITE store. I would say that at least 80% of my wardrobe is from there. Prime example...as I'm typing this, every article of clothing I have on is from ATL (not to be confused with Atlanta)

6. Dry Shampoo
How did I not know about this??? I have to admit that until the age of 32, I washed my hair every single day. It wasn't until January of 2012 that I started washing my hair every other day (talk about a time saver) and it wasn't until August 2012 that I started using dry shampoo. Now I can go 4-5 days between washes. I never thought that blondes could NOT wash there hair everyday. I thought it was our burden for..you know "having more fun".
But since I've discovered this secret...there's no turning back!

7. Designer Handbags
It's sad that the words Dooney & Bourke get me as giddy as a teenage girl going to prom. I love love love designer handbags and I always will! Even my diaper bag is a Kate Spade...I can't help myself!

8. Trash TV
It's truly my one and only motivation for getting on the elliptical machine as often as I do. See... we have an in home gym and when I'm not at the "regular" gym getting a run or class in, I go downstairs get my fill of:
Guliana and Bill
Bachelor Pad (or The Bachelor or Bachelorette)
Dance Moms
Teen Mom
16 and Pregnant
Honey Boo Boo (yes, I caved and it's glorious!)

9. Netflix
Ben and I LOVE Netflix'ing (is that a word?) TV Series and watching 1-2 episodes a night. We are old school and send off for the DVD...we don't stream.
Some of the series that we've watched (and are now obsessed with)
Mad Men
Breaking Bad
Dexter
Big Bang Theory
Friday Night Lights
Walking Dead (scary as crap)
