Aunt Jannell and Leah visit Baby T!

Last weekend was a lot a fun when some of my best college friends came to town to visit Tyler.

Leah and Jannell arrived into town late Friday evening, so Saturday morning everyone met up for brunch at J Christopher's in downtown Roswell...there were a lot of us! Me, Ben and Tyler were joined by Jannell, Leah, David, their little girl Hayden, David's sister Kathryn, Andy, Angela, and Anastasia!

There was a lot of catching up to do amongst the 9 adults... and the two babies finally got to meet each other too!

Unfortunately the weather was really sucky last weekend and our plan of going to the zoo was ruined...so after brunch everyone came back to the Sullivan pad so the kids could play and nap.
That evening everyone headed over to Andy and Angela's for a bbq!
Good times all around.
Sunday, we said goodbye to Jannell, Leah, Hayden and David. The weather was beautiful so we took our first jog since Baby Tyler came along. We are officially training for the Peach Tree Road Race in July. It's a 10K and trust me when I say it will be a LONG road to get back up to 6 miles.
I had not run since the half marathon I completed right before I got pregnant last year, so we started small and are trying to work our way up. We ran 1.5 miles and did a nice walk in the park afterwards. Tyler was loving life in the BOB stroller the whole time!
It was a great day!
This week was crazy as I traveled to Indianapolis to teach a class and also went to Roanoke for a work visit.
Tyler is adjusting well to the nanny share, so it's been a very easy week altogether!
Tyler's latest developments have included making raspberry noises. He thinks it's so funny to blow a raspberry right after you give him a big bite of cereal...needless to say, I wish they made Mommy and Daddy bibs to catch the flying food!
He also is getting really great at rolling over and laughs like crazy when you play "Super Tyler" and lift him the air!
I can't believe spring has sprung and May is almost here!!! Happy Spring to everyone!!

Whirlyball!!!

Tons of Pics above from Easter Sunday, Ben's Whirlyball bday bash, and Tyler's 4 month bday!

Another whirlwind of adventures for the Sullivan family! I wish I had time to blog as frequently as I used to, but with travel for work, taking care of Tyler, and trying to fit in fun times with our friends, it just sometimes gets out of control! But it's worth all the effort because Tyler is loving life!!!
After I returned home from Austin, we had Ben's 31st Whirlyball bday bash! What's Whirlyball you ask???? Well, it's a combination of lacrosse and basketball, played while driving around in a bumper car! Let me be the first to say that it's freaking AWESOME!!! We had a group of about 15 show up for the event and we reserved the court for two hours! It was a fun time and I think everyone enjoyed themselves! I can't wait to take Tyler to Whirlyball someday. I know he will love it. But in the meantime, I think he had a pretty good time watching Mommy and Daddy battle it out!
A big thanks to everyone that came out. Aunt Kate was on hand for the event before she flew back home to Baltimore, and Uncle Ryan even flew out from Oklahoma to hang with us for a little bit!
After Whirlyball, everyone came back to our house for a bbq dinner.
Due to my hectic travel schedule the week before, I was quite embarrassed by the condition of our deck...pollen had covered everything and all of our potted plants were now brown and dead...but our landscaper Cliff just came by today to make everything look gorgeous. A little mini deck makeover was all we needed!
Another embarrassing note! The Saturday morning of Ben's party, I went shopping for Bbq supplies and picked up an ice cream cake from Coldstone...yum! For some reason, I was under the impression that ice cream cakes last just fine in the refrigerator...um, that would be NO!
I ended up serving melted ice cream cake to everyone who attended the bbq! Ooops...but it still tasted pretty good!
The following week started Tyler's full time Nanny share. He is adjusting well, and it worked out nicely that I was working upstairs but stealing in kisses from him downstairs whenever I could!
Thursday and Friday (4/15 - 4/16) I was in Jacksonville for work. I missed Tyler and Ben so much but it was nice to stay at an Oceanfront hotel!
That weekend, Nana and Papa came to town to babysit, while I helped host a baby shower for our good friend Steph O'Rourke! We are so excited for Baby Dylan's arrival in June, and the shower was a huge hit!
This week our little Tyler has reached a couple of big milestones! Sunday was his 4 month birthday! We couldn't be be more in love with him! He's such an awesome little boy!
Monday he had his 4 month shots, which was probably more agonizing for me than for him...but he certainly let it be known that he didn't appreciate 5 needles piercing his legs! He ran a fever after his shots so we had to keep a close eye on him, but he was completely better by Wednesday.
The doctor also recommended that we start him on rice cereal. He LOVES it (see pic above)! He eats from his spoon in a high chair and thinks it's the best thing in the world.
Tyler showed off his eating skills on Thursday night for my book club! I think everyone was impressed with his growth and development! At least I know Mommy was!!!
The craziness continues this weekend when Aunt Jannell and Leah come to town, and I head to Indy and Roanoke next week for work!
As always...we'll keep you posted!

Hippity Hoppity Easter's on it's way!!!

What a crazy past couple of weeks it's been in the Sullivan house!

After our trip to Charlotte, we had a nice week/weekend at home as a family. Ben had the week off and took care of Tyler...they got to have boy bonding, while Mommy worked. I also had to take my first overnight trip away from Tyler. It was tough, but it was only for one night, so I wasn't in total "Missing Tyler Meltdown." My dad was also in town for a training, so it worked out great that he was on hand to help take care of Tyler. He loved getting one on one grandson time in! After our quiet weekend at home, I went to the airport on Sunday and picked up my best friend a.k.a Aunt Jo Jo, so that she could spend her spring break with Tyler.

We all had a ball together! Tyler loved Aunt Jo Jo and she adored him just as much!
Johanna and I also got to have a girls night which included a trip to the nail salon and then sushi!
Tuesday afternoon, I took Tyler to his first Gymboree class while Johanna got some nap time in! I was a little skeptical of Gymboree for a 3 month old, but I can assure you that Tyler had a so much with the other babies. His expression during Mirror Tummy Time (see pic above) was proof enough for me. Notice his reflection in the mirror! We signed him up for weekly classes!

I had off for Good Friday so Tyler and I did a lot of errand running then met Ben for lunch and ate outside!
Saturday, Grandma (Ben's mom Jan) arrived into town to visit Tyler for a few days. After we picked her up from the airport, we had lunch at Park Tavern, then walked Tyler around Piedmont park in downtown Atlanta! It was such a beautiful day and Tyler loved being outside.
Saturday night Grandma babysat, so Ben and I could go to Medieval Times for Amanda's Bday party! What a crazy time that was! There was jousting, eating with your hands, and lots of drinks! We got home just in time to put Tyler to bed before the Easter Bunny arrived.

Sunday morning we got up early, got dressed, got Tyler in his Sunday best and drove to Spartanburg with Grandma to meet Nana, Papa, Aunt Kelly and Uncle Travis at church (Not before getting a speeding ticket 15 miles from church...mean cops).
After church, we all went out to eat at California Dreamin, then it was back on the road with the Tman to Atlanta!

Monday morning I was up and out the door at 7:30 and on my way to Austin, TX for work.
I was away for our National Manager's meeting for an entire week. It was a lot of fun and I had an absolute blast at the beautiful resort, but I missed my boys like CRAZY and was so glad to be home on Friday.
Meanwhile, Grandma took care of Tyler for most of the week, and Aunt Kate flew in on Tuesday to help as well.
Both Ben's mom and sister were here to celebrate Ben's bday on the 7th. I was so sad to miss it but he had a great time eating at Sugo with the family. And Tyler behaved really well for them during the week.

Tyler also went with the nanny for two days last week. We are getting him adjusted to the nanny share that starts full time this week.
I'll have another post about Ben's 31st Bday Whirlyball bash soon, along with more Easter pics!
Time is flying by so fast...Tyler is getting so big and his personality is really starting to shine! We feel truly blessed!
