Sullivan Family Update

Oh my...so much has been going on over the past few weeks! I've been delinquent in my blogging but with good reason! So sit back and grab a cup of Joe...this may be a long post!

The weekend after Easter started off with the most anticipated wedding of the year!!!

Congrats to William and Kate!! I was awake at 4am on Friday, drinking coffee and texting frantically with all of my fellow pop culture loving girlfriends!!!

Friday night Ben and I headed with our next door neighbors (kids in tow) to Diesel in Downtown Roswell for some yummy pizza, beer and live music! It was a great time.

Saturday morning my parents arrived and we headed to the mall for lunch, merry go round, toy shopping and a train ride. Tyler had so much fun!!!

Saturday night Nana and Papa babysat so that Ben and I could go to Sip in Alpharetta with Steph and Pat. The night included a wine tasting and dinner seating outside in perfect weather! We had a fantastic time and I can't wait to go back again!

Sunday I took my Mom and Dad to the Food and Entertainment Expo to see Paula Deen Live! It was quite funny, as she didn't cook (only ate) and seemed a little drunk! But she was hilarious! We had a great time tasting local food and I even got a Diners, Drive Ins and Dives Book signed by Guy Fieri!!! Way cool!

The next week included a trip to see Water for Elephants with my Book Club! A little Robert Pattinson action is always good for the soul!

Friday, I celebrated Mother's Day at Tyler's school complete with a muffin breakfast

before heading into work! I got my Mother's Day gifts Friday evening and my boys and I had happy hour on the patio!
Saturday we met my parents in Commerce(the half way point between Spartanburg and

Atlanta...we always meet at the same Starbucks) to drop off Baby T for the night, and then came home and did a little house hunting before we got ready for the Derby Party at John's Creek Country Club. It was an annual charity gala that included a silent auction. Ben bid and won an

autographed Seinfeld script which he loves! It was a great date night that included big hats and mint juleps!! Sunday, Ben and I had brunch to celebrate Mother's Day before we picked up Tyler from my parents. The weekend closed with drinks on the deck with Melanie and Jared and a visit from Amanda, who was in town from Chicago! It was so great to see her!

Last week, I headed to Dallas for work Monday - Thursday. While I was gone, two major events happened. We sold our house, which is very exciting but stressful considering we had only begun house hunting, and Thursday I was alerted that Tyler had another febrile seizure at school.

Needless to say, it was one of the worst days of my life! I was in Dallas and ran out of training to call Ben and have him go straight to the hospital. Paramedics arrived and Tyler quit seizing after about 5 minutes. His teachers were able to cool him down and regulate his temperature. His school was AMAZING. His teacher even rode on the ambulance to the hospital. Ben arrived and met the ambulance at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, where it was determined that a small virus caused his spike in temperature.

Meanwhile, I left immediately on the first flight out of Dallas. I arrived in Atlanta by 4pm and was able to get to my little boy at the hospital by 4:30! It was the best feeling to hold him in my arms and know everything was okay!

It was a rough rough week...but everyone is okay.

It's likely that these seizures will continue until he grows out of them in about 4 years, and they don't cause any type of brain damage, but it still doesn't make this process easier!

It's just something we are going to have to watch carefully!

A rough week led to a fun weekend! Tyler was fever free by Saturday morning, so we were able to make our next door neighbors Crawfish boil!

We had a great time at Melanie and Jared's and will TRULY miss them when we move in July!

Sunday, we went house hunting and as of tonight we OFFICIALLY put an offer in on a house!

Send good thoughts and prayers our way! I'll be sure to keep you all updated as the deal proceeds!!!
