Hi All, Hope you had a great weekend.
Ours was so relaxing it should be outlawed. Now I love my kid to pieces...he's the apple of my eye. But I'm not gonna lie and say that a weekend stay with Nana and Papa every once in awhile is great! Especially when you are 7 months preggers and just want to stay in your PJ's all day!
The week leading up to our "child free weekend" was pretty busy. I had dinner with the girls at Sip on Monday and then on Wednesday Ben went to the Hawks game with all of the guys. Thursday, I hosted my monthly book club at my house....and don't forget that Tyler was out sick Monday and Tuesday. So needless to say, by Friday we were ready for some down time.
Ben met up with my parents in Commerce, GA on Friday to drop Tyler off (he was feeling much much better and couldn't wait to spend the weekend with N&P). I had to work since I had taken off Monday and Tues to watch my sick little man.
Ben was back home in time for dinner though so we ordered Indian and started our Walking Dead Marathon.
Saturday we spent the morning being absolutely lazy and finishing up the Walking Dead...we are now officially caught up. Such a good show!
Saturday night we ventured to Buckhead and hit up an Atlanta staple called Dante's Down the Hatch. Pretty cool little place that has been around for ages. We had Fondue, fun drinks (virgin pina colada for me) and dessert.
Sunday I went shopping, met Steph and Amanda for lunch and mani/pedi's and then we headed to Commerce to meet my parents to pick up the Tman. We met at Ruby Tuesdays for dinner and got Tyler home just in time for bed. He was exhausted from his weekend of fun!
Eating corn dogs for dinner at Nana and Papa's
Decorating a cupcake at Uncle Travis's bakery
Playing Skeeball with Nana at Chuck E Cheese
As for me??? I pretty much looked like this all weekend!

Snow Mountain and the Plague!!!
Sorry it's been awhile since I posted! We've been hit with "The Plague" in the Sullivan house...and one that hit the rest of the neighborhood I might add.
The kids hung around each other all weekend so it was inevitable that Tyler would get it.
He woke up on Sunday night with a 104 degree fever...scary I know! But the good news is that he didn't have a seizure this time...hooray! I think we are out of the horrible febrile seizure woods, which is always a huge relief.
We broke the fever with ibuprofen but took him to the doctor on Monday. Diagnosis? Upper Respiratory Infection and Pink Eye. So Monday and Tuesday I worked from home while Tyler got better!
He's back at school today and everything seems fine! Fingers crossed they stay that way!
This weekend was so much fun though!
Friday night we hung out in the neighbors yard for a bit, then ordered Asian and chilled. Nothing big.
Saturday morning we were up and ready to hit Snow Mountain by 10am. Our neighbor Jill turned the big "Thirty-Something" and wanted a family friendly day at Snow Mountain as her gift. So 7 families in the neighborhood all got tickets and joined in the fun! What's Snow Mountain you ask? It's a Stone Mountain (the famous landmark in Atlanta) that they cover with Snow in the winter time! Of course it's man made snow and you take a gamble when you buy your ticket (will it be too hot..will it rain?) but luckily the high on Saturday was 41 degrees and the kids had a ball! Tyler was scared shitless to go down the slides so Ben made him go down once (we are trying to encourage the whole "conquer your fear" thing). I sat out since I was preggers...but Tyler had zero desire to go again. He was content building forts and building snowmen.
We had a picnic lunch and stayed from about 11am until 3pm. Below are some pics of our fun day!
That evening Jill's party continued at our house. Everyone came over for pizza and cake and the kids ran wild. It was a very fun and very exhausting day!
Sunday we continued organizing (we tackled Tyler's closet) and then hit up Studio Movie Grill for Escape from Planet Earth. Tyler loved his second trip to the movies and I'm glad Ben finally got the chance to go along with us!
Hope everyone out there had as much fun as we did this weekend!!!

Daddy's got a brand new ride!
Happy Monday everyone! It's rainy and disgusting here so not sure if I should change this first sentence from "Happy Monday everyone" to "It's Monday and Raining Everyone...yuck". But it's all good because this week will be a lot of fun. Lots of Valentine's celebratin' to do!
I love holidays! Any excuse to celebrate, give gifts and eat bad food!!!
This weekend was a mix of busy and chill...but it was nice.
Friday night we stayed in and did make your own pizzas. (like I said in my earlier post the boys are battling colds)
Saturday, we hit the gym and Tyler went to the playroom. However, I'm starting to see the effects of 7 months of pregnancy....and it ain't good.
Everytime I try to do something strenuous (i.e. the elliptical or bike), I get a cramp in my lower right abdomen..and it won't go away. It stays there until I stop. So last week, when it happened I just moved to the treadmill and walked. This week, I still had the cramp when I was walking.
I'm proud of myself in one regard. When I was pregnant with Tyler I quit working out at 6 weeks. Obviously this time, I've gone much further...but it might be time for me to throw up the white flag until after the baby is born...it's not worth the risk and it makes me extremely uncomfortable! Big bummer.
After gym time, We headed to the VW dealership to get Ben a new car. We've had my Jeep for over a year now and we like it but Ben has been driving my old 2003 Toyota Corolla (I call her Big Bertha) for almost 4 years. With the new baby coming, Ben needed a car with more space in the back, so we bought a Passat!
Black on Black and it is pretty awesome!
Saturday night Ben went to Pat's birthday party with everyone while I stayed home with Tyler. I was super bummed that I couldn't go. Our sitter ended up cancelling on us at the last minute. She had a business trip conflict and her son had the flu. But the party was another Whirlyball extravaganza (which I can't do cause I'm preggers) and then dinner and drinks at Roswell Tap (which obviously I would be out for the drinking part).
Ben had a great time, and meanwhile I showed all the neighbors the new car and Tyler got some outdoor playtime in.
Sunday, we headed to church and then to Dunkin for breakfast. We then headed home and continued our attempt to get organized before the baby comes! I ended the day with a relaxing trip to the nail salon, and then Tyler had our next door neighbor over for a playdate!!!

Pregnancy Pet Peeves
Mornin everybody and HAPPY FRIDAY! I'm so glad the weekend is here!
This week included a trip to Pure Restaurant with Steph and Amanda on Monday and pizza night with the neighbors on Wednesday, which is always a blast.
Tyler and Ben have developed little colds though, so we are going to do family night tonight and lay low.
Now onto my Blog Post Title...Pregnancy Pet Peeves
Maybe it has something to do with the raging hormones in my body right now...but here are a list of things that people often say to me that grate on my VERY last nerve! Bare with me while I vent, will ya?
1. "You know you can drink one cup of coffee a day" - Yes idiot, I know I can drink one cup of coffee a day, that doesn't mean I'm going to do it. I've been through this rodeo before, and I've read all the books. I KNOW what you can and can't drink...but I didn't do it with Tyler and I'm not going to do with Jacob, so I don't need you reminding me of the rules.
2. "You know a little wine in the third trimester is fine" - see same statement above
3. "You know non-alcoholic beer DOES have alcohol in it" - This one is the WORST. Seriously, you need to remind me that there is less than 0.5% alcohol in an O'Douls? Thanks, but I'm not stupid. I read labels and guess what is also on the label??? The words NON-ALCOHOLIC. If I'm going to make it through 9 months of not drinking, and an O'Douls takes the edge off, then back the f off...again, this ain't my first time doing this.
4. "I ate that/drank that when I was pregnant and everything turned out fine" - That's great...I'm glad it worked out for YOU...but I choose to do things differently and guess what? My kid turned out pretty damn good too!
5. "I can barely tell your pregnant" - I know you are trying to pay me a compliment but dude...I've put on at least 25 lbs and if you can't tell a difference, then I'm going to have to become anorexic once I pop this kid out.
6. "You know 1 is 1 but 2 is 10" - Yes, I realize we are in for quite the wake up call when Baby Jacob arrives...and trust me when I say it scares the living crap out of me. But we chose to have a family of two adults and two children and it's the risk we are willing to take. Don't try to scare me even more than I already am...PLEASE!
I can't say that I blame people! Heck, I know I've been guilty of passing on unwanted advice to new parents as well...it's just a part of life.
But I really needed an outlet to vent... It's almost like these parents think I'm doing it for the first time. Thanks for listening!

Super Bowl Madness!
Hope everyone had an exciting and fun Super Bowl Weekend!
Did you enjoy the Destiny's Child Reunion as much as I did? But seriously...who didn't know they were going to join her onstage, am I right? I mean, it was all over the news!
Friday after work, Ben, Tyler and I met Jared, Melanie and the kids for dinner. We tried to go to Mellow Mushroom (packed), then we tried Taco Mac (even more packed), so we ended up at Johnny's Pizza off of Windward Parkway, and we were pleasantly surprised! The food was great, the service was even better and the kids had a blast playing on the video games. We will certainly be back there again.
We went out to celebrate Melanie and Jared selling their house. Since we used to live next door to them, we are trying to get them to move into our new neighborhood now! We'll see how their house hunt goes!
Signs that the market is coming back??? They listed their house and got an offer the FIRST DAY! Crazy right?
Saturday morning we hit the gym and the grocery store...then Jared and Melanie dropped the kids off with us so that they could go house hunting. Tyler and Maddie had a ball as usual, and I got some baby practice in Mr. Gabriel. That evening, we headed to Roberta and Mike's housewarming party and had a great time! Roberta knows how to host in style, and we are certainly glad to have them in our neck of the woods now! Tyler loved running around and doing his Darth Vader impression for everyone. (Where he got this obsession with Star Wars recently, I have NO idea)
Sunday, we officially entered "nesting mode." We spent the majority of the morning organizing toy chests and bedroom closets. My goal is to get all of the closets cleaned out and organized by the time Baby Jacob arrives. Sound so riveting right? We made major progress on Sunday though and Tyler even helped a little bit. My favorite part was sorting through his hot wheel collection. I asked him to pick out some cars to keep and others to give away. The only ones he was willing to part with were the ones with missing wheels. My apologies to Goodwill on that one!
Around 3pm, Ben and I got to work on food for the Superbowl party. We made baked jalapeno poppers like last year (but this year we were smart enough to wear gloves) and I made Butterfinger cookies too!
At 6pm, we headed over to Jason and Leah's in our neighborhood for the big bash! Over 30 adults and children so a little chaotic at times but an absolute blast! We headed home in the 3rd quarter (everyone cleared out during the black out) and watched the rest of the game on the couch...just what was needed to end a eventful weekend!
