The past couple of weekends have been very nice.
Last weekend, Nana and Papa were supposed to pay a visit but Papa got sick so we decided it was best to keep him away from Tyler for the time being.
So Ben, Tyler and I spent the weekend together going for walks in the park and around the neighborhood. Tyler loved it, but we quickly figured out that he likes rough terrain better than the smooth sidewalk...something about the vibration puts him right to sleep :)
Saturday night we went over to our next door neighbors house for dinner! Melanie cooked fried calamari, salad, smoked salmon pasta and creme brulee. Everything was delicious and Tyler loved playing with Jared and Melanie's daughter Maddie.
This weekend Nana and Papa came for a visit and Ben and I were able to have a date night. We went to Bone's and it was SO delicious!
Today will be spent doing the usual...running errands and hopefully getting in a walk around the neighborhood if it gets to a good temperature outside.
And Sunday Ben's going to meet up with some of the boys to watch the final US Hockey Match of the Olympics, while Amanda, Tyler and I cook dinner together!
Fun weekend!
Next week is my last week of maternity leave and I'm so sad about it. I'm looking forward to going back to work but will desperately miss all the quality time I have with Tyler. I really didn't realize how much I would enjoy it!

Happy Two Month Bday Tyler!!
Happy Two Month Birthday Baby T! Tyler is getting fatter and cuter everyday and we just love him to pieces!
Since Tyler's Baptism we spent Valentine's weekend quietly at home as a family. Our gift to each other was a new laptop! We now have a webcam and can Skype with Nana and Papa and Aunt Jo Jo (Johanna). For those that don't have Skype you are missing out! It's so much fun!!!

Tyler's Baptism
Tyler had his baptism at our church in Spartanburg this past weekend! It was a big event! Ryan flew in from Oklahoma to be Tyler's godfather and Johanna drove down from Raleigh to be his godmother. We couldn't be more excited to have them both in Tyler's life.
Ryan flew in on Friday night and we had a game night and take out night with Amanda at our house. Then Saturday we set out on Tyler's first road trip to Spartanburg.
Saturday night my parent's babysat while Ben, Ryan, Johanna, Steve, Ethan and I went out to dinner. It was a great time.
Sunday morning was the baptism and Tyler looked adorable in his little white shoes, pants, shirt and sweater vest. He hardly cried when the water was poured on his head! After church we headed to City Range Grille for lunch with a bunch of friends and relatives to celebrate!
A big THANKS to everyone that made the trip to church to be a part of Tyler's special day!

Aunt Kate Comes to Town
Kate got this great picture of Tyler smiling during her visit!
Daddy giving Tyler a burp...clearly Tyler wasn't too happy about it!
Bath time! Tyler likes his hand held during his bath so he's reaching out for Mommy!
Kate feeding little T!The Weekend of Jan 30th was a lot of fun because Ben's sister Kate came to town to meet little Tyler.
We had a great time hanging for the weekend! Kate was definitely "hands on" and loved feeding, burping, and playing with Tyler.
The only thing she didn't really want to do was change his diaper...understandable...so Ben and I took care of that. But that didn't stop little Tyler from peeing on her lap bright and early Sunday morning!
Other highlights of the weekend included game night with Andy and Angela on Sunday afternoon. Tyler was on Aunt Kate's team for Trivial Pursuit but he didn't really contribute too much, causing her team to lose.
Before I took Kate to the airport on Monday, we dropped by Ben's office so that all of his coworkers could meet little Tyler. He was a big hit!
It was a great weekend!

Update!!!
I thought I would catch everyone up on how many visitors we have had since little Tyler was born.
It's definitely been a whirlwind but we are so grateful to have such wonderful friends and family to support us!
Since Tyler's arrival my parents have been to visit 4 times! It's been great having them here and they absolutely love spending time with Tman. This is especially great when Ben and I need to run errands, or just need a little time away.
As you can see from the pic above, Tyler's Christmas was INSANE! I swear my parents bought out the entire baby section of Toys R Us.
Nana and Papa (my parent's official Grandparent names) also came for New Years Eve and babysat while Ben and I went to the local pub to watch the VA Tech game with Steph and Pat.
It was fun but I didn't make it past 9:30...I rang in the New Year sleeping like a log in my bed! Ben stayed at the bar until the end of the Tech game but came home before midnight as well.
My how having a newborn changes you!
Last weekend we had a visit from Ben's parents. They got to meet their grandson for the first time and I could tell they were thrilled. They babysat on Saturday night so that Ben and I could have our first official "date night" since Tyler came into the world.
We went to Ray's Killer Creek Steakhouse and stuffed ourselves, then we headed over to Andretti's Speedway for our friend Chris's bday party.
We had a great date night and were home by 11pm to relieve Ben's parents of baby duty!
We have also had lots of visits from friends Amanda, Melissa, Chris, Jaclyn, Steph O, Pat, Steph S, Roberta, Mike, Anastasia, Andy, Angela, & Chesare...plus so many wonderful gifts, cards, and yummy food sent our way!
A huge thanks to everyone...we love you all!
Tyler just passed his six week bday this week, and we couldn't be more thrilled with him. He smiles back at you, tries to talk, can hold his head up, and sleeps for 4-5 hour stretches at night.
We absolutely love him and couldn't ask for a more wonderful little baby.
He's turned our lives upside down but for the better! We LOVE being parents!

Happy One Month Birthday Baby T!!!
Happy one month birthday to our little Tyler! I can't believe one month has passed us by already! However, I can definitely say that we are very happy to have achieved such a small milestone!
While it's been a fun and wonderful, it's also been scary at the same time.
I don't think any amount of preparation can get you ready for the great world of parenthood!
But now we feel like pro's when it comes to burping, feeding, pumping, soothing, rocking, and changing poopy diapers while trying not to get peed on.
It's been so much fun getting to know our little man, and he changes more and more each day!
For those of you out there that are frequent readers of my blog, I apologize for being a slacker lately. I promise to keep you more up to date on what's been going on in our lives going forward.
So far, we've had so many friends and relatives come to visit with many more still to come. I can't wait to keep you all in our adventures with Little Tyler!!!

Welcome to the World Tyler Davis Sullivan!!!

Welcome to the World Tyler Davis Sullivan! Tyler was born on December 18,2009. He weighed in at 6lbs. and 13 oz and was 21.5 inches long!
Wow!!! What a wild couple of weeks it's been! I went into the doctor's office on December 16th because Tyler wasn't kicking around like he normally did in the mornings. The doctor hooked me up to a monitor and conducted a fetal stress test. Everything was pretty normal but Tyler wasn't giving "A+" results. Since I was almost at my due date, they decided to go ahead and induce.
We entered the hospital on the night of the 16th and induction began on the 17th. It was a long day on Pitocin with slight contractions, but at the end of the day I wasn't dilating and the baby wasn't coming down...it was at this point we started talking about a c-section. I decided that I wanted to try one more round of induction, in hopes of a vaginal delivery, so we started the whole process over on the 18th. After another LONG day with heavy contractions and finally an epidural, I still made no progress. At 2pm we decided to go ahead and do the c-section.
I was in the operating room with Ben at 2:45pm and Tyler was born at 3:11pm.
We were released from the hospital on Monday December 21st, and it's been and absolute crazy ride ever since!
We love Tyler! He is a fabulous baby who only cries when he needs to be fed or changed!
He's adorable and your heart literally melts when he looks at you with those enormous blue eyes!
I can tell he's going to be spoiled rotten already!
Ben and I got to spend Christmas day as a family, just the three of us, and then my parents came to spend a couple of days with us on the 26th. It was great having them here so that Ben and I could catch up on a little bit of sleep!
They also bought out half of a toy store for their grandson's first Christmas, and Tyler loved everything! (At least he told me he did though his eyes were closed for almost all of the present opening time).Since Christmas we've had two pediatrician appts. Tyler is growing like a weed. Today he clocked in at an impressive 7lbs. 10oz. I just can't wait for those cute chubby cheeks to start filling in!
The only thing I can say is how amazing our sweet little man is and how much we love him already!
But also let me note that NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING, can prepare you for being a parent!
Ben and I are learning one step at a time and enjoying it the whole way!
Happy New Year everyone!!!
